There are two people in there! ("Elluka" is actually a plural name smush -- one's Elli, the other's Luka. When referring to them both I'll generally use they, when referring to Elli I'll use she, and when referring to Luka I'll use he.) Elli is a spirited girl who pretends to be a bit more cool and in control than she is, basically a relatively good person who's fiercely driven and focuses hard on whatever path she's put in front of herself. Luka is a demon straight from the pit of hell and probably feels foreign, hard to read, and creepy as hell. The emotions he gives off are just a combination of boredom and interest and desire to play. If anyone can see souls, he'd look like he was a thick black smoke curling through her soul.
